AFR: Ord Minnett eyes bigger slice of small-cap equities, hires analysts

Ord Minnett’s Alastair Hunter and Angus Esslemont spoke to the AFR about their plans to become the number one small and mid-cap broker within the next three years.
Head of Institutional Research, Alastair Hunter outlined how the business will increase its stocks under coverage from 90 to 150.
“Research leads to market share, and increasing research is helpful for clients,” said Mr Hunter, who also said that since the onset of the pandemic, there had been an “underinvestment” in the small and mid-cap coverage space.
