Karl Morris Biography

Karl Morris is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Ord Minnett Ltd. He joined Ords in 1990 as an adviser after initially starting in the stockbroking industry as a scrip clerk in 1987. He is a Commerce graduate of Griffith University and holds diplomas from the Stockbrokers and Financial Advisers Association of Australia, FINSIA and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He was awarded an officer of the Order of Australia (AO) on Australia Day 2019, for distinguished service to the financial and stockbroking sectors, and to the community through a range of organisations.

Malcolm Wood Biography

Malcolm joined Ord Minnett in February 2021 from E.L. & C. Baillieu where he was Chief Investment Officer for three years. Earlier he was Managing Director, Head of Investment Strategy at Bank of America Merrill Lynch Australia. Over 15 years at Morgan Stanley he was Investment Strategist in Wealth Management Australia, Asia-Pacific Regional equity strategist in Hong Kong, and Australia strategist and Head of Research. Prior to that he was a US equities portfolio manager for BT Australia in New York. He holds a Bachelor of Economics with First Class Honours (Sydney University) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management with Merit (MGSM).
